The plan aims to ensure the safe and efficient resumption of airport operations, quickly stabilize the domestic flight network, and restore international air services.

It also seeks to generate sustainable passenger demand through closer cooperation among airlines, the airport, travel agencies, accommodation providers, tourist attractions, ground transportation operators, and media organizations.

The initiative is designed to integrate aviation development with tourism growth, investment promotion, trade, agricultural logistics, and the promotion of the "Lam Dong – The Journey of Sea, Flowers and Great Forests" brand.

Before August 19, 2026, all relevant agencies and stakeholders are required to complete coordination plans for the airport's reopening, finalize flight schedules for the first 60–90 days, review transport connectivity, passenger services, security, medical services, and support systems, and launch communication campaigns alongside aviation-tourism stimulus packages.

During the first 30 days of operation, authorities will prioritize safe and stable airport operations, promptly address passenger feedback, and aim to serve approximately 6,800 passengers per day, in line with the airport's projected capacity. Flight information, transportation services, and passenger support will be continuously updated.

Da Lat's cool climate remains one of its strongest attractions for visitors.

Within the first 90 days, the province aims to stabilize domestic routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, Da Nang, Vinh, Hai Phong, and Can Tho. Airlines are expected to maintain an average seat occupancy rate of 75% or higher. Routes operating below 65% occupancy will be subject to promotional campaigns, product adjustments, or revised flight frequencies.

By December 31, 2026, Lam Dong plans to restore or launch one to two additional domestic routes, targeting Thanh Hoa, Hue, and Phu Quoc. The province also expects to introduce at least two integrated travel packages jointly marketed by airlines and tourism businesses.

For international aviation, Lam Dong will continue operating the Da Lat–Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) route while completing market studies and initiating official discussions with one or two priority international markets, particularly South Korea, Singapore, and Thailand.

The province also aims to restore or launch at least one international route, targeting visa-exempt markets or those with strong demand for travel to Lam Dong.

According to airline operational plans, Lien Khuong International Airport is expected to handle an average of 36–40 flights and approximately 6,800 passengers per day from August 19 2026. Passenger throughput during the final four months of 2026 is projected to reach around 816,000 travelers.

To achieve these targets, the provincial government has assigned detailed tasks and measures to relevant departments, agencies, and local authorities, requiring close coordination to ensure the highest level of effectiveness.
