Lam Dong Promotes Comprehensive Early Childhood Development
Early childhood education institutions across Lam Dong Province have been stepping up the implementation of the national Early Childhood Education Program while introducing innovative childcare and teaching methods centered on child development. These efforts aim to support children’s holistic growth and contribute to building a strong human resource foundation for the future.

Across the province, preschools have increasingly adopted child-centered approaches that promote experiential learning, creativity and active participation in educational activities. These approaches help children develop physically, emotionally and intellectually while fostering a stimulating learning environment.
At Phan Thiet Kindergarten in Phu Thuy Ward, favorable conditions have enabled the school to organize a wide range of experiential activities for children. Its teaching staff is dedicated and fully qualified, with all teachers meeting professional standards. In the 2025–2026 academic year, the school has 397 enrolled children.
School leaders say educational methods have been continuously updated to improve teaching quality and ensure comprehensive child development. Practical activities and interactive learning experiences are integrated into daily lessons to enhance children’s curiosity and engagement. At the same time, programs are designed to prepare five-year-old children for a smooth transition to Grade 1 in line with the primary education curriculum.
Health care and nutrition are also key priorities. The school strictly implements school health programs, ensuring that all children receive health check-ups at the beginning of the academic year. Preventive measures against diseases, malnutrition, overweight and obesity are also strengthened.
Alongside improvements in childcare practices, the school focuses on professional development for teachers by encouraging participation in training courses, teaching competitions and professional exchanges. These initiatives contribute to improving education quality while supporting children’s comprehensive development.

All communes, wards, and special administrative areas in the province now have preschool facilities or childcare groups, ensuring a sufficient network of schools and helping maintain universal preschool education for five-year-old children in line with national regulations.
During the first semester of the 2025–2026 academic year, all early childhood education institutions developed annual and monthly education plans tailored to local conditions and children’s developmental needs. Support policies for disadvantaged children have also been implemented, particularly for ethnic minority children and those living in mountainous or socio-economically disadvantaged areas.
School meal services across the system are organized with strict food safety standards and transparent financial management, with parental supervision in place.
In the coming period, Lam Dong’s education sector will continue promoting the development of early childhood education programs, encouraging innovative teaching methods and improving the quality of childcare and education services.
Ensuring absolute safety for children at preschool institutions—especially non-public facilities—will remain a priority. The province also plans to pilot a new early childhood education program in the near future.
