Lam Dong Provincial National Assembly Delegation Actively Enhances Operational Quality
On May 29, Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Lam Dong Provincial National Assembly Delegation, chaired a meeting to review the delegation’s performance during the first five months of 2026 and identify key priorities for the remainder of the year.

The working session was attended by Dang Duc Hiep, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and full-time Deputy Head of the Provincial NA Delegation; Duong Khac Mai, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Head of the Provincial NA Delegation; and other provincial NA deputies.

In the first five months, the Provincial NA Delegation proactively and comprehensively carried out its tasks under the approved work program, ensuring both progress and quality in the context of preparations for the 16th National Assembly term.
In legislative affairs, the delegation worked with the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Council, the Provincial People’s Committee, the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and relevant departments and agencies to collect feedback on six draft laws and resolutions submitted to the National Assembly for consideration.

During the first session of the 16th National Assembly, NA deputies from the Lam Dong delegation made 55 contributions, including 33 remarks during group discussions and 22 statements at plenary sessions. Their comments focused on practical difficulties and obstacles, helping improve draft laws and resolutions.

Supervision and survey activities were carried out as planned, while voter meetings were renewed in both scale and format, with stronger application of information technology. After the first session of the 16th National Assembly, the Provincial NA Delegation held in-person meetings with voters in the Phu Quy Special Zone and connected them online to 83 commune- and ward-level locations, attracting more than 8,000 voters.
Through these meetings, the delegation collected and forwarded hundreds of opinions and petitions to relevant authorities for consideration and settlement. In the first five months of the year, it submitted 50 opinions to the National Assembly's Committee on People's Petitions and Oversight and sent 100 recommendations to the Provincial People's Committee.

Resident reception and petition-handling work continued to be maintained in a systematic manner. In the first five months of the year, the Provincial NA Delegation received and processed 218 letters of complaint, denunciation, and petition, forwarding 114 of them to relevant authorities for resolution.
The delegation also actively took part in social welfare activities. On the occasion of the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the delegation and its deputies mobilized more than VND 1.6 billion in resources to visit and present gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor households, and disadvantaged people across the province.

Speaking at the working session, Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Provincial NA Delegation in the first five months of 2026. Despite changes in organizational structure and personnel during the transition from the 15th to the 16th National Assembly term, the delegation maintained solidarity and a strong sense of responsibility, proactively carrying out its tasks and achieving positive results.
Deputies of the delegation actively participated in legislative work, making numerous contributions at the first session of the 16th National Assembly. Supervision and survey activities were conducted effectively, while meetings with voters, citizen reception, and the handling of complaints and denunciations saw notable improvements. Social welfare activities and support for policy beneficiaries and poor households were also given due attention and implemented effectively.

Emphasizing the heavy workload in the half of the year, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam asked the Provincial NA Delegation to continue renewing its working methods. He said the delegation must closely follow the work programs of the National Assembly and the Provincial Party Committee, while staying aligned with local realities, to effectively carry out key tasks.
The Provincial NA Delegation needs to focus on preparing thoroughly for the second session of the 16th National Assembly. In addition to improving the quality of feedback on draft laws and resolutions, the delegation should strengthen coordination with specialized agencies, experts, and scientists to improve its participation in legislative work.

The Provincial Party Secretary also called for stronger supervision and survey activities focusing on issues of voter concern, including land management, public investment, investment capital disbursement, and local socio-economic development.
He requested further innovation in meetings with voters in a more practical and thematic manner, along with closer monitoring and follow-up on the settlement of prolonged and complex complaint and denunciation cases.
The Head of the Provincial NA Delegation urged NA deputies, leaders, and civil servants of the Office of the Provincial NA Delegation and People’s Council to continue upholding their sense of responsibility, strengthening coordination, and improving the delegation’s operational effectiveness in the new term, thereby meeting the requirements and expectations of voters and people across the province.

At the working session, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam presented flowers to Dang Duc Hiep to congratulate him on his assignment as full-time Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation.
Dang Duc Hiep said he was honored to be entrusted with the assignment and affirmed that he would quickly familiarize himself with the work, uphold his sense of responsibility, and work with the delegation’s leadership to successfully fulfill the assigned tasks.
