Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam attends inauguration of 17 houses under the “Quang Trung Campaign” in D’ran Commune
On January 12, the People’s Committee of D’ran Commune (Lam Dong Province) held an inauguration ceremony for 17 houses built under the “Quang Trung Campaign” for families severely affected by natural disasters.

The event was attended by comrades : Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and Head of the provincial National Assembly delegation; Pham Trieu, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong Province; Vo Ngoc Hiep, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee; along with leaders of provincial departments, agencies, local authorities and a large number of local residents.

According to Mr Dinh Viet Dung, Chairman of the D’ran Commune People’s Committee, the recent floods caused extensive damage across the locality, affecting more than 550 hectares of crops, killing hundreds of livestock and poultry, and damaging 137 hectares of greenhouses and net houses.
A total of 46 houses were severely damaged, including 17 houses that collapsed completely and 29 others that suffered serious structural damage.

Thanks to timely support from central and provincial authorities, all 29 damaged houses were repaired by December 31, 2025. Of the 17 new houses under construction, 16 are already finished, with the final unit set for completion ahead of the 2026 Lunar New Year.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee Vo Ngoc Hiep said that in 2025, natural disasters caused significant losses across the province. In the year-end disasters alone, 41 houses were destroyed or swept away, requiring complete reconstruction.

With the spirit of “leaving no one behind,” Lam Dong Province promptly launched and implemented the “Quang Trung Campaign”, a swift, decisive and deeply humanitarian initiative.

After a short implementation period, the campaign delivered notable results: 41 houses were newly built with total funding of nearly VND 5 billion, while 84 damaged houses were repaired with support totaling nearly VND 1.7 billion.

The inauguration ceremony marked not only the handover of new homes but also demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility, solidarity and compassion. Completing the projects in a short time frame, ensuring quality and safety, and putting them into use ahead of the Lunar New Year as the country is moving toward the 14th National Party Congress—holds significant political and social importance.

On this occasion, the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee commended Military Region 7, the Department of Construction, and relevant departments and localities for their close coordination and rapid implementation, ensuring both progress and quality.
The province also expressed gratitude to the Vietnam Fatherland Front and various organizations and individuals for mobilizing resources and providing timely support to affected residents.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vo Ngoc Hiep congratulated the families on receiving their new homes, expressing his hope that they would use and maintain them effectively to stabilize their lives. He also called on local authorities to continue supporting households after resettlement and to strengthen public awareness of disaster prevention and response.
On the same day, Lam Dong Province simultaneously held inauguration ceremonies for “Quang Trung Campaign” houses in Nam Da Commune and Ham Thang Ward for families affected by natural disasters.

Launched on December 1, 2025, under Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s directive, the Quang Trung campaign aims to quickly rebuild and repair storm- and flood-damaged homes in central localities —including Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong—ensuring safe housing for affected families before the Lunar New Year.
