Lam Dong Provincial Police Strengthen Cooperation with Chuncheon City, South Korea

The delegation was led by Hyun Jun Tae, Vice Mayor of Chuncheon City.

Major General Truong Minh Duong, Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police and a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, chaired the meeting alongside provincial police leaders and representatives from specialized departments.

The meeting was held in line with diplomatic protocol and focused on strengthening professional exchanges between Lam Dong Provincial Police and the Gangwon Fire Academy. Both sides reviewed ongoing cooperation and discussed opportunities to expand collaboration in the coming years.

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Truong Minh Duong praised the progress made through previous exchanges and cooperative activities between the two sides.

He said maintaining and expanding the partnership would help strengthen the friendship between the two localities while contributing to socio-economic development in both Vietnam and South Korea.

According to the provincial police chief, the visit provided an opportunity to deepen mutual understanding and trust while opening new avenues for cooperation for the benefit of both communities and the broader Vietnam–South Korea relationship.

Hyun Jun Tae expressed appreciation for the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Vietnamese and South Korean institutions.

He highlighted the practical results achieved through previous joint activities, saying they had strengthened mutual trust, understanding and cooperation between the two sides.

The vice mayor also expressed his hope of further expanding cooperation between Lam Dong Provincial Police and the Gangwon Fire Academy, describing the partnership as an important foundation for greater professional exchanges, personnel training and enhanced capacity in firefighting, fire prevention, rescue and emergency response.

Vice Mayor Hyun Jun Tae reaffirmed Chuncheon City's commitment to maintaining and developing its friendly partnership with Lam Dong Provincial Police based on mutual trust, solidarity and shared development, thereby contributing to closer ties between the two localities and further strengthening relations between Vietnam and South Korea.

The meeting concluded in a warm and open atmosphere, reflecting both sides' commitment to further deepening their practical and long-term cooperation.
