Under the approved master plan, the development space will be organized into three functional sub-zones, each associated with a key tourism center.

Sub-zone 1 (Phu Thuy – Mui Ne) covers 6,653 hectares and is oriented as a national-level hub for commercial services, finance, healthcare, resort tourism, entertainment and marine sports. Key tourism products include wellness tourism, resort stays, and experiences at attractions such as Suoi Tien and Doi Cat Bay, along with local cuisine and eco-tourism.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh emphasized the importance of the event, noting that Vietnam currently has only nine national tourism zones, with Mui Ne positioned as a key highlight. The announcement conference is therefore significant for shaping the province’s long-term tourism strategy.

He requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to closely coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure thorough preparation and smooth execution, with no room for errors.

The event is also seen as an opportunity to attract investment, strengthen tourism promotion and advance the vision of developing Mui Ne into a leading tourism hub in the Asia–Pacific region.
