Lam Dong Ready to Welcome Tourists for New Year 2026
To meet the growing demand for sightseeing and leisure travel during the 2026 New Year holiday, Lam Dong Province has proactively rolled out a series of coordinated measures, ranging from strengthened state management and public security to urban beautification and improvements in tourism service quality.

In Xuan Huong - Da Lat Ward, home to numerous tourist attractions and the venue for major cultural and entertainment events, including the New Year 2026 Countdown Program at Lam Vien Square, preparations to serve visitors have been implemented in a comprehensive and disciplined manner, with the active involvement of the entire political system.
According to Mr. Nguyen Mau Ha, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Xuan Huong - Da Lat Ward, the ward currently manages five recognized heritage and scenic sites, including Xuan Huong Lake, Datanla Waterfall, Prenn Waterfall, Tuyen Lam Lake and Da Lat Railway Station, as well as Lululola, a venue for events and artistic performances. In addition, 16 tourist sites are operating across the ward, attracting large numbers of domestic and international visitors.

Xuan Huong - Da Lat Ward is also home to more than 1,400 tourist accommodation facilities, including hundreds of hotels rated from one to five stars, many of which are large-scale and high-end. Anticipating a sharp rise in visitor numbers during the holiday, the local authorities have developed contingency plans and assigned key tasks to relevant agencies to ensure public order, urban discipline, street aesthetics and high-quality services for residents and tourists alike.

The Department of Economy, Infrastructure and Urban Affairs has coordinated with the police and the local military command to implement patrol and inspection schedules, strictly addressing illegal street encroachment, unauthorized sidewalk trading and improper parking in central areas and tourist zones.
Meanwhile, in Xuan Truong - Da Lat Ward, another area known for its popular tourist attractions, preparations have also been made well in advance. Ms. Ho Thi Bich Van, Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Xuan Truong - Da Lat Ward, said that cherry trees are currently in full bloom, particularly in the Cau Dat Tea Hill area, drawing large crowds of visitors for sightseeing and photography.

Along the roads leading from the ward’s administrative center to the former Xuan Truong and Tram Hanh area, thousands of cherry trees lining both sides of the streets are simultaneously in bloom, creating a signature landscape of Da Lat in the early days of the new year.
To ensure visitor safety during the holiday, local authorities have instructed the police to step up patrols and controls, promptly handling violations to maintain public security and social order. Accommodation and tourism service providers have been guided to strictly comply with regulations on guest registration and temporary residence.
The ward has also intensified inspections of fire prevention and fighting measures at business establishments and crowded venues, while ensuring swift responses to feedback and complaints from residents and tourists related to security and order.

In addition, the Division of Culture and Social Affairs, in coordination with the ward’s health station, has conducted inspections of food safety and hygiene at restaurants and eateries, while reminding tourism service providers to publicly list prices and strictly adhere to posted rates.
Residents have been encouraged to clean up the environment and display the national flag, contributing to a festive, orderly atmosphere to welcome the New Year.
Alongside local government efforts, Lam Dong’s tourism sector has issued early directives aimed at improving service quality and ensuring visitor safety during both the 2026 New Year holiday and the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo.
Mr Nguyen Van Loc, Director of the Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, has signed an official document urging localities and tourism businesses to proactively prepare facilities and services, ensure safety and service quality, and help maintain Lam Dong’s image as a friendly and civilized destination.
In response, tourism service providers across the province have actively developed operational plans, invested in upgrading and repairing facilities, and maintained transportation vehicles, ready to meet the expected surge in visitor demand during the holiday period.
