Lam Dong Representative Honored with the 2025 Luong Dinh Cua Award
Ms Huynh Thi Thom, a resident of Duc Trong Commune, Lam Dong Province, has been named one of the 30 Outstanding National Rural Youth of 2025 and was awarded the Luong Dinh Cua Award by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
In 2025, the Central Committee organized the 20th Luong Dinh Cua Award Ceremony in Hanoi to honor 30 outstanding rural youth nationwide. These individuals were selected from 101 applications across 30 provinces and cities, representing a generation of young farmers who are dynamic, innovative, and willing to think and act to develop the agricultural economy.
All honorees operate effective production and business models that successfully apply scientific and technological advances to improve productivity and product quality, create jobs and generate stable incomes for local communities. Many of these models have demonstrated strong market viability and made meaningful contributions to rural development and sustainable agricultural growth.
As part of the program, all individuals honored with the Luong Dinh Cua award have exchanged and shared experiences from their start-up journeys, including how they overcame difficulties and the lessons they learned. Their stories have inspired Youth Union members and rural youth nationwide.
The Luong Dinh Cua Award is an annual honor presented by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to recognize rural youth with outstanding achievements in agricultural production and rural development. Over the past 20 years, the award has honored 2,158 outstanding young farmers nationwide, underscoring the vital role of young people in advancing modern, sustainable agriculture and building prosperous rural communities.
