Lam Dong Reviews and Integrates Smart City Development Plans
On the afternoon of June 17, Nguyen Hong Hai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to review reports on smart city development programs and projects across the province.

According to the report, the Lam Dong Smart City Development Plan through 2030, with a vision to 2050, was formulated in response to the province's expanded scale, broader development space and diverse urban system following the recent administrative merger.
The plan covers the entire province, which spans more than 24,233 square kilometers and has a population of nearly 3.9 million.
Its focus is on developing smart urban areas across Lam Dong, including Phu Quy Special Zone, with priority given to establishing roadmaps for Da Lat, Phan Thiet, Gia Nghia, Bao Loc and La Gi to become smart cities

The plan focuses on enhancing urban governance and developing digital infrastructure, shared databases and geographic information systems.
It also proposes the use of smart operation centers, digital twins and artificial intelligence to improve urban management and public services.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyen Hong Hai directed the Department of Construction to merge the two programs into a single smart city development proposal.
The proposal must clearly define objectives, priorities, pilot initiatives and implementation roadmaps to ensure both feasibility and effectiveness.

The Vice Chairman also instructed the Department of Construction to work closely with the Department of Science and Technology to clarify smart city development orientations for each locality and phase of implementation.
