Lam Dong Reviews Final Designs for Floral Gateway and Provincial Logo
On the morning of June 19, Dinh Van Tuan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting of the organizing committee for the fresh-flower gateway design competition at the foot of Prenn Pass in Xuan Huong - Da Lat Ward, and the Lam Dong provincial logo design competition.

According to a report presented at the meeting, the organizing committee received 226 entries from 118 authors both within and outside the province, including professional and amateur artists.
The submissions were reviewed and assessed by the judging panel based on criteria such as symbolic value, aesthetics, practicality and their ability to reflect Lam Dong's cultural identity, history, people and development potential.

After the preliminary round, the judging panel shortlisted 50 outstanding entries through a secret ballot.
Following further evaluation, 10 designs were selected for refinement, with their authors asked to revise the proposals based on the panel's recommendations.

The recommendations focused on enhancing symbols representing the identity of the new Lam Dong Province, including pine forests, flowers, mountains, the sun, waves and ethnic cultural motifs.
Attention was also given to ensuring balanced design, color harmony and the logo's versatility across various applications and formats.

After the authors completed their revisions, the judging panel held the final round for the 10 shortlisted logo designs. Based on an objective evaluation and the competition criteria, the panel selected five outstanding entries for submission to the organizing committee and the provincial People's Committee for consideration. The shortlisted designs carry the codes LG-58, LG-82, LG-158, LG-59 and LG-198.
The organizing committee also selected two of the 10 fresh-flower gateway design proposals for the site at the foot of Prenn Pass in Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat, to advance to the final round.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Tuan acknowledged and highly appreciated the dedication and responsibility shown by the judging panel, the organizing committee and the competition participants.
He emphasized that the flower gateway and logo carry important significance in promoting Lam Dong's image and strengthening its brand identity.
They are expected to help showcase the province's distinctive cultural, historical and human values, as well as its development potential, to both domestic and international audiences

Dinh Van Tuan instructed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the standing agency of the organizing committee, to incorporate the feedback, finalize the documentation and advise the provincial People's Committee on the next steps in accordance with regulations.
He also tasked the department with developing a plan to announce, promote and ensure the consistent use of the provincial logo in both domestic and external affairs activities.

The meeting also reached consensus on plans for the award ceremony and the recognition of winning authors, ensuring the events are organized in a formal manner, comply with regulations and generate broad public interest.
