Lam Dong Rolls Out Strategic Technology Development Program
Lam Dong Province has issued a plan to implement the national program on science, technology and innovation, prioritizing the development of strategic technologies to drive green growth and digital transformation.

Designed to adapt national objectives to provincial conditions, the plan prioritizes strategic technologies to improve productivity and competitiveness. Looking ahead to 2030, Lam Dong plans to deploy three to five strategic technology groups across agriculture and tourism, while helping local enterprises and cooperatives strengthen intellectual property protection and product traceability.
Priority technologies include artificial intelligence (AI), big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, robotics and automation, virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), as well as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). These technologies will be applied across agricultural production, resource management, market forecasting, and digital tourism development.
To ensure effective implementation, Lam Dong will continue refining policy frameworks to support technological innovation, promote research and commercialization, and develop markets, intellectual property systems and a high-quality workforce. Funding will be mobilized from the state budget, businesses and other legal sources.
The Department of Science and Technology will take the lead in implementing the roadmap, in coordination with local authorities to ensure effective implementation.
