Lam Dong Set to Develop 14,502 Social Housing Units During 2026-2030
Under Government Resolution No. 07/NQ-CP dated January 12, 2026, Lam Dong Province has been assigned a target to develop 14,502 social housing units during the 2026-2030 period. The target contributes to the national goal of ensuring housing for low-income earners and workers in industrial zones.
Nationwide, by the end of December 2025, a total of 698 social housing projects were underway, with a combined scale of 657,441 units. Of these, 193 projects have been completed (169,143 units), 200 projects are under construction (134,111 units), and 305 projects have received investment approval (354,187 units). In 2025 alone, 102,633 units were completed nationwide, exceeding the annual target by 102%.
However, the total number of projects implemented so far accounts for only about 62% of the target set under the scheme to invest in the construction of more than 1.06 million social housing units, indicating that significant challenges remain in the coming period.
Toward the goal of completing at least one million social housing units by 2030, the Government has identified this task as a key political priority closely linked to social welfare and sustainable development. Mobilizing social resources, particularly from capable real estate enterprises, along with strong and decisive engagement by local authorities, including Lam Dong, will be critical to meeting the assigned targets.
