Lam Dong Sets Ambition to Lead the Nation in Culture, Sports, and Tourism
At a conference reviewing 2025 performance and outlining priorities for 2026, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Van Tuan emphasized the goal of making Lam Dong one of Vietnam’s leading provinces in culture, sports, and tourism development.

In 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proactively implemented sectoral plans, organizing a wide range of cultural activities that supported political missions while enriching community life. Heritage preservation initiatives delivered positive outcomes, and grassroots sports movements continued to grow, helping improve public health and community well-being.

Tourism maintained steady momentum. Transport infrastructure was upgraded, new projects were launched, and tourism products became more diverse and distinctive. A series of festivals and promotional programs further solidified Lam Dong's position as a vibrant destination.
However, the sector also encountered challenges arising from administrative restructuring and personnel streamlining, which created added pressure on management and development efforts.

The year 2026 marks the first year of implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress. With more than 110 cultural, sports, and tourism events estimated to take place province-wide, this scale of activity demands heightened efficiency in inter-agency coordination, administrative oversight, and human resource allocation.

According to the Department, key focuses for 2026 include expanding development spaces through digital transformation, strengthening delegation to local authorities, improving the effectiveness of cultural management and heritage preservation, and advancing mass sports and sports tourism — all aligned with Lam Dong’s socio-economic goals for 2026–2030.

Vice Chairman Dinh Van Tuan commended the sector’s achievements and called for continued innovation, stronger advisory capacity, and closer inter-agency coordination. He stressed the need to broaden community sports, diversify cultural and tourism offerings, and enhance their contribution to social stability and economic growth — moving Lam Dong toward leadership in culture, sports, and tourism nationwide.
In 2026, the Department launched an emulation movement themed:“Culture as the Foundation – Information as the Lifeline – Sports as the Strength – Tourism as a the Bridge to Connection – Steadily entering a New Era.”
Sector targets include: 93.8% of households meeting cultural standards; 96.5% of villages and neighborhoods recognized as cultural standards; 7.25% exemplary communes and wards. Lam Dong athletes aim to win around 400 medals at national, regional and international competitions.
Tourism goals for 2026: approximately 25 million visitors, including 1.5 million international arrivals, and projected tourism revenue of VND 71,500 billion.
