When doctors spread the spirit of compassion

Established in 2007, the Charity Kitchen at Dak Nong General Hospital has provided thousands of free meals to poor patients and those in especially difficult circumstances. Each simple meal or bowl of porridge carries warmth and sharing, giving patients strength and peace of mind during their treatment.

Particularly, in the period of 2020-2025, the total funding to maintain the Charity Kitchen at Dak Nong General Hospital exceeded 853 million VND, mobilized through voluntary contributions from staff, employees, and other socialized sources.

Beyond providing meals, the hospital also actively cares for critically ill patients without relatives by assigning staff to look after them, supporting medical expenses and daily meals, and even coordinating funeral arrangements in unfortunate cases of death. The total funding for this support during the 2020–2025 period reached nearly 186 million VND.

When natural disasters or fires occur, the hospital also mobilizes its staff and employees to contribute, raising more than 515 million VND to promptly share difficulties with affected communities.

Beyond provincial boundaries, during the 2022–2025 period, Dak Nong General Hospital also organized medical missions to Mondulkiri Province (Cambodia), providing free medical examinations, treatment, and medicines for 1,488 people and presenting 100 gift packages, thereby contributing to the strengthening of solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.
