Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Quang Dan, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment, emphasized that the event provided an opportunity to comprehensively assess the province’s achievements over the past year, particularly in the development of the collective economy and the effective rollout of the OCOP Program.
Lam Dong currently has eight cooperative unions, 959 agricultural cooperatives and 1,290 cooperative groups. The province is also home to 10 craft villages, 14 traditional craft villages and four officially recognized traditional crafts, forming a solid foundation for rural economic development.

Notably, the province currently has 946 OCOP products, including 80 four-star products, 858 three-star products, and 8 products in the process of completing dossiers for five-star evaluation, with 533 entities participating in the program
The collective economy continues to confirm its significant role in agricultural and rural development. To improve product quality and raise local incomes, many cooperatives have changed their organizational models, strengthened value chain connections, and used science and technology.

By leveraging the specific strengths of each locality, the OCOP Program has become a key driver of rural economic growth. Numerous OCOP products from Lam Dong have gradually secured their position in the market, contributing to the branding of local agricultural products and promoting the cultural identity of the Central Highlands.
At the same time, leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment candidly acknowledged existing challenges, including small-scale and fragmented agricultural production, limited management capacity in some cooperatives, weak and unsustainable value chain linkages, and insufficient trade promotion activities.

Looking ahead, the province will continue to advance the restructuring of the agricultural sector toward higher added value and sustainable development. Priority will be given to improving the operational efficiency of cooperatives and cooperative groups, promoting production linkages associated with processing and product consumption, and accelerating the application of science, technology and digital transformation in agriculture.

Additionally, to support exports, the province is enhancing the OCOP Program by helping organizations with product development, brand creation, and expanding into consumption markets both inside and outside the province. To make Lam Dong's OCOP products more accessible to customers, we'll strengthen trade and product promotion, as well as supply and demand linkage.
At the conference, OCOP certificates awarded by the Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee were presented to 47 products from 30 organizations, including 34 three-star and 13 four-star OCOP products.
