Lam Dong Strengthens Tourism Connectivity with the Eastern Region and Phu Quy Special Administrative Zone

On March 22, a Lam Dong delegation led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Van Tuan conducted a field survey to promote tourism connectivity between the province’s eastern region and Phu Quy Special Administrative Zone.

The trip aims to strengthen cooperation among localities, while assessing the tourism potential and advantages of eastern Lam Dong and Phu Quy. It also creates opportunities for tourism businesses to conduct field surveys, develop tour routes, connect destinations, and create integrated tourism products, helping drive the province’s tourism growth in the coming time.

During the morning session, the delegation focused on surveying tourist attractions, scenic sites, infrastructure, accommodation services, dining, transportation, and other conditions supporting tourism development in Phu Quy Special Zone, as well as several destinations in eastern Lam Dong.

At the working session, Le Hong Loi highlighted the area’s potential and advantages. Phu Quy is being planned around two key pillars for future growth: the marine economy and tourism, with green tourism identified as a priority.

A key project is the planned high-end integrated resort subdivision in Thuong Chau hamlet, covering about 50 hectares, as part of the approved Phu Quy tourism development plan to 2030.

After reviewing reports and conducting on-site inspections, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Van Tuan highly appreciated the area’s potential. He also emphasized the need to identify existing challenges so that authorities and businesses can propose solutions to effectively tap into tourism resources, develop unique products, and strengthen inter-regional tour connections—thereby creating momentum for the development of Phu Quy.

Through this survey and connectivity program, Lam Dong aims to enhance links with coastal localities, diversify tourism products, and expand its visitor market. These efforts are expected to position tourism as a key economic sector, contributing to the province’s socio-economic development in the near future.

In addition to Phu Quy, the delegation also surveyed several tourist sites in areas such as Bau Trang and Thach Bich, aiming to build tourism routes connecting Lam Dong – Phan Thiet – Phu Quy.
