According to the Department of Construction, the provincial government has reconstituted the Steering Committee for Social Housing Development to align with the recent administrative restructuring. Lam Dong has also issued a series of directives to implement central government policies on affordable housing.
Notably, the province has introduced regulations allowing individuals who already own homes but live far from their workplaces to remain eligible for social housing support — a measure intended to better address the practical housing needs of the local workforce.

Under targets assigned by the Vietnamese government, Lam Dong must develop 15,000 social housing units between 2021 and 2030.
So far, 1,894 units have been completed during the 2021–2025 period, while 13,106 units are planned for construction between 2026 and 2030. For 2026 alone, the province aims to complete 1,857 units.
Currently, four social housing projects are under construction with a combined scale of 2,063 units, including:
- Social housing projects in Ham Kiem I Industrial Park
- Ham Kiem II social housing project
- Phu Hoi social housing project
- An Son social housing project serving resettlement needs in Da Lat
Among them, 150 units in the Ham Kiem I project are expected to be completed by June 2026.

Meanwhile, the province continues to review and expand land-use planning for social housing projects. Approximately 18.39 hectares in the Da Lat area have been allocated for such developments. Additional land reserves include 306.85 hectares in the Phan Thiet area and about 3.556 hectares in the former Dak Nong area.
Authorities are also reviewing commercial housing projects to ensure that 20% of their land funds are allocated to social housing development — a policy expected to create capacity for around 4,000 additional units.
During the meeting, representatives from departments and local authorities reported on project implementation in areas including Xuan Huong – Da Lat Ward, Xuan Truong – Da Lat Ward, B'Lao Ward, Duc Trong Commune, Phan Thiet Ward, and Ham Kiem Ward. Updates were also presented on housing demand from personnel within the Lam Dong Provincial Police and the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command.

In his concluding remarks, Vice Chairman Nguyen Hong Hai instructed the Department of Construction to coordinate closely with relevant agencies and local authorities to review land resources, complete investment procedures and remove obstacles affecting project implementation.
He also urged project investors to mobilize resources and accelerate construction progress to ensure the province meets its social housing targets for 2026 and the following years.
Regarding housing for the armed forces, he called for proposals to expand the number of units so that more officers and soldiers in need can benefit from the program.
Local authorities were also asked to actively support investors in site clearance, infrastructure development and administrative procedures related to planning and land management, helping facilitate the timely implementation of social housing projects.
Finally, Vice Chairman Nguyen Hong Hai emphasized that the selection of project investors must be conducted in a transparent and competitive manner, ensuring that capable developers are chosen to meet the housing needs of workers and policy beneficiaries across Lam Dong Province.
