With strong potential in industry, tourism–services and high-tech agriculture, Lam Dong Province has set an ambitious target of achieving double-digit economic growth in 2026.

Since the beginning of the year, provincial authorities and agencies have acted swiftly to implement concrete measures, centered on the principle of people-and-business-oriented public service delivery.

Mr. Ho Van Muoi, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee, urges departments, agencies and local authorities to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital.

From resolutions to action

The Resolution of the First Provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term calls for renewed thinking and the development of a strategic vision aligned with new development space. It also emphasizes the effective mobilization and utilization of resources, the timely removal of bottlenecks, stronger administrative reform, the building of digital government, and the promotion of innovation.

Following the congress, Lam Dong has promptly enacted action programs and detailed implementation roadmaps. Notably, the Provincial People’s Committee established six special task forces to review and resolve hurdles facing off-budget investment projects, particularly obstacles related to land clearance, power supply and industrial park infrastructure.

Under the 2026 plan, the province will further streamline and simplify redundant or overlapping business conditions, fostering a more conducive environment for citizens and enterprises to scale up their production and business activities.

Focusing on private-sector development

Implementing Resolution No. 68 of the Politburo on private-sector development, Lam Dong identifies the private economy as a key driver of growth. The province will continue to leverage its strengths while removing barriers and creating a more enabling environment for businesses to grow.

In 2026, Lam Dong will accelerate investment in connectivity infrastructure and consider approving investment policies and selecting investors for several major projects, including bauxite processing complexes, the expanded Tan Rai bauxite project, and Phan Thiet Airport. At the same time, infrastructure development at industrial parks and clusters—particularly Son My 1 and Son My 2—will be prioritized to attract secondary investors.

For wind and solar power projects currently facing difficulties, the province is actively working to resolve outstanding issues so they can be brought into operation in 2026, contributing to overall economic growth.

Positive signals have already emerged in early 2026. The industrial production index (IIP) rose by nearly 16% compared to the same period last year. State budget revenue in January exceeded 4,000 billion VND, reaching 11.7% of the annual estimate and up 7% year on year.

These results provide a solid foundation for provincial authorities, localities and the business community to continue their efforts toward achieving Lam Dong’s target of double-digit economic growth in 2026.
