Under the province’s development plan through 2030, processed vegetables, roots, and fruits are expected to account for around 30% of total agricultural output, while post-harvest losses are projected to decrease by more than 1% annually.

More than 70% of processing and preservation facilities are expected to apply food safety and quality management systems such as HACCP, ISO 22000, or equivalent standards. At the same time, the export value of processed vegetable and fruit products is targeted to increase by an average of 10% per year.

The province continues to review and develop high-tech vegetable and fruit production areas to serve processing demands for both domestic and export markets.

The province also aims to establish processing centers linked to raw material areas and develop 10–15 linkage chains covering production, processing, and consumption linkage chains connecting leading enterprises with cooperatives, cooperative groups, and farmers.

To achieve these goals, the province will continue reviewing and planning the development of high-tech vegetable and fruit production areas, reorganizing large-scale production, and applying VietGAP, GlobalGAP standards, and organic farming practices. Traceability systems, planting area codes, and packaging facility codes will also be implemented.

At the same time, clean land funds will be allocated in concentrated production zones to attract investment in deep-processing projects that apply modern and environmentally friendly technologies. These projects will focus on high-value-added products such as quick-frozen vegetables and fruits, freeze-dried products, extracts, fruit juices, and various processed foods.

Digital transformation will also be promoted to diversify and improve processing quality while expanding domestic and export markets for products such as coffee, durian, dragon fruit, and avocado.

In addition, the province will develop logistics as a key infrastructure system supporting the production, processing, and distribution of vegetables and fruits in line with transportation, trade, and concentrated raw material planning. This includes establishing agricultural logistics centers, cold storage systems, post-harvest preservation facilities, and distribution hubs for both domestic consumption and export markets.

Special priority will be given to developing modern, energy-efficient logistics systems integrated with digital technologies. Regional connectivity will also be strengthened to turn the vegetable and fruit processing industry into a breakthrough sector in the restructuring of the province’s agricultural economy.
