Lam Dong Targets September Completion of Site Clearance for Bao Loc–Lien Khuong Expressway
On August 11, in Duc Trong Commune, Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Bui Thang chaired a meeting with leaders of the provincial People's Committee, departments, agencies and localities to review the implementation of the Bao Loc–Lien Khuong Expressway project.

Accelerating Site Clearance for a Key Regional Transport Project
The meeting was attended by Nguyen Hong Hai, Member of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee along with representatives of relevant departments, agencies and localities along the expressway route.

According to the Lam Dong Provincial Land Fund Development Center, the Bao Loc–Lien Khuong Expressway project is 73.615 kilometers long, requiring the recovery of 621.128 hectares of land and affecting 2,537 households, individuals and organizations.

As of August 8, 2026, compensation, support and resettlement plans had been approved for 2,451 households, with a total funding of more than VND3.164 trillion, covering 545.361 hectares. This represents 97% of the affected households and 87.8% of the total area requiring approval. Of this, plans for 2,330 households covering 513.668 hectares were approved in 2025, while an additional 121 households covering 31.693 hectares were approved in 2026.

Approximately 351 households, covering 32.072 hectares, remain without approved compensation plans. Of these, 275 households are subject to supplementary approvals, while 76 households require new compensation plans.

According to the report, Bao Lam, Di Linh, Tan Hoi and Hiep Thanh have completed the approval of 100% of their dossiers. However, several localities still have outstanding areas, including Gia Hiep with 10.5 hectares, Ninh Gia with 20.79 hectares, Ward 1 Bao Loc with 0.37 hectares, while Duc Trong has one additional household whose compensation plan has yet to be approved.

At the meeting, representatives of localities reported on site clearance progress for the expressway construction and highlighted current difficulties, particularly cases in which residents have yet to agree to receive compensation and support payments.

Local authorities proposed strengthening communication, mobilization and direct dialogue with residents, while promptly addressing emerging difficulties. They also expressed their determination to complete site clearance in September 2026.

Representatives of relevant departments, agencies and units clarified proposals raised by local authorities and residents, analyzed obstacles related to land prices, assets attached to land and legal procedures, and proposed solutions to accelerate the handover of cleared land for the project.

Speaking at the meeting, Lam Dong Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai asked local authorities to make site clearance their top priority, urgently complete outstanding dossiers and step up efforts to encourage households to receive compensation and hand over land.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai also asked contractors and investors to mobilize maximum manpower, machinery and equipment, organize construction efficiently and take advantage of favorable weather conditions to accelerate work on the Bao Loc–Lien Khuong Expressway.
In his concluding remarks, Bùi Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee emphasized that the Bao Loc–Lien Khuong Expressway is a key transport project of particular importance to the socio-economic and cultural development of Lam Dong and the Central Highlands region.
Once completed, the expressway will expand development space, strengthen regional connectivity, create new momentum for investment attraction and improve people's living standards.

Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Bui Thang asked Party committees and local authorities to focus their efforts on site clearance, identifying it as a key political task requiring decisive and coordinated implementation along with regular inspection and supervision.
Localities must continue to intensify communication, mobilization and dialogue with residents to build consensus and promptly resolve difficulties arising during implementation.

Relevant departments, agencies and units were asked to uphold their responsibilities, proactively coordinate with and support local authorities in resolving matters within their jurisdiction, and prevent outstanding dossiers from being prolonged and affecting the project's overall progress.
