Lam Dong Thoroughly Prepares for the People's Public Security Military, Martial Arts and Sports Games

As outlined in the plan, the 2026 Military, Martial Arts, and Sports Games of the People's Public Security Force – Region III Group Stage, which will be hosted by Lam Dong Provincial Police, will feature 17 teams. These will include police units from Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Dong Nai, and Can Tho; provinces such as Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Tay Ninh, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Ca Mau, and An Giang; as well as representatives from the People's Security Academy, People's Police Academy, and People's Police College.

The event is expected to attract approximately 1,500 athletes, along with around 1,000 officers and personnel from mounted police units, police bands, special-purpose motorcycle units, martial arts and qigong teams, and professional tactical demonstration forces of the Ministry of Public Security for competitions, performances and public exchanges.

The games will take place from June 17 to 24, 2026, featuring competitions in shooting, People's Public Security martial arts, obstacle-course racing, men's 7-a-side football and pickleball.

The opening ceremony will be held at 8:00 p.m. on June 20 at Lam Vien Square, while the closing ceremony is scheduled for June 24 at the Lam Dong Provincial Police Hall.

After the opening ceremony, mounted police units, specialized motorcycle teams, police bands, and various performance groups from the Ministry of Public Security will interact with the public at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat Walking Street, Da Lat Market, and around Xuan Huong Lake. These activities are anticipated to foster a lively atmosphere while showcasing the culture, tourism, and people of Lam Dong.

To guarantee the smooth organization of the event, the Provincial People's Committee has designated specific responsibilities to departments, agencies, and local authorities.

The Lam Dong Provincial Police will take the lead in collaborating with specialized units of the Ministry of Public Security and relevant agencies to prepare facilities, equipment, and personnel, while ensuring complete security and public order throughout the event.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will supply competition sites, referees, and promotional efforts. The Department of Health will station medical staff and ambulances at the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as at competition venues. The Department of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Lam Dong Telecommunications, will ensure that transmission systems are in place for live broadcasts of significant events.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Military Command will assist in operating drones and filming equipment and coordinate fireworks displays for the opening ceremony.

Local areas hosting competition events are proactively preparing training and rehearsal venues, upholding urban order and environmental cleanliness, and creating optimal conditions for participating teams and spectators.

As part of preparations for the event, Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio-Television Station has been assigned to strengthen communications before, during and after the Games.

Real-time broadcasts of the opening ceremony, parades, and demonstrations by the forces will enable officers, personnel, and the public to witness the event, while also highlighting the image of a professional, elite, and modern People's Public Security Force.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, the Games aim not only to promote the “For National Security” movement and enhance professional standards but also to further develop a competent, elite, and modern police force. Additionally, the event aims to honor the glorious tradition of the People's Public Security Force to mark the 80th anniversary of its establishment on July 12, 1946.

Furthermore, this event will play a role in celebrating the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2026 and in showcasing Lam Dong’s image to both domestic and international audiences.
