Lam Dong to Break Ground on Phan Thiet Airport Project on April 27
The Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee has issued a plan to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the civil aviation component of the Phan Thiet Airport project in celebration of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

Groundbreaking Ceremony to Be Held with Solemnity and Precision
According to the plan, the ceremony will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:25 a.m. on April 27 at the Phan Thiet Airport project site in Mui Ne Ward, Lam Dong Province.
The on-site event will feature delegate reception, opening performances, a project presentation, remarks by the investor and central and provincial leaders, and the official groundbreaking ceremony.
About 300 delegates are expected to attend, including representatives of central agencies and ministries, leaders of Military Region 7 and the Air Defense-Air Force Service, representatives of aviation-sector agencies and organizations, leaders from Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa, as well as Lam Dong provincial leaders and representatives of relevant departments and localities.
Affirming a key driver for socio-economic development
The plan aims to ensure a solemn, safe, and cost-effective event, creating positive public engagement while underscoring the project’s significance in promoting socio-economic development, enhancing transport connectivity, attracting investment, and promoting the province’s image.
Provincial authorities have directed relevant agencies and localities to coordinate closely in carrying out their assigned tasks to ensure they are completed on schedule and to a high standard.
