Lam Dong to firmly revoke Underperforming Project at Tam Thang Industrial Park
The Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee has ordered a comprehensive review of investment projects in Tam Thang Industrial Park, stressing that underperforming projects must be revoked.

On the afternoon of March 18, Ho Van Muoi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, led a provincial delegation to meet with Tam Thang Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Company in Cu Jut Commune.
Also attending were Nguyen Hong Hai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee together with leaders of relevant departments, sectors and localities.

Tam Thang IP has a total area of 179.2 hectares, including 134.45 hectares of commercial land. The park currently hosts 50 investment projects with total registered capital of over VND 2.583 trillion. More than 133 hectares have been leased, reaching an occupancy rate of 99.11%. Total infrastructure service revenue from 2008 to 2025 is nearly VND 124 billion, averaging about VND 7 billion per year.
However, according to the infrastructure developer, key facilities such as the lighting systems and fire protection systems have not yet been fully synchronized. There is also a shortage of skilled labor in the locality.

Several enterprises are operating below capacity because of raw material shortages, while land recovery from secondary projects that violate land-use regulations has been delayed by the presence of on-site assets.

At the meeting, the company proposed that the provincial People’s Committee soon approve adjustments to the IP’s planning and requested stronger coordination and support from relevant agencies to resolve difficulties faced by investors.
Representatives of departments, sectors and localities discussed a range of solutions to improve the efficiency of Tam Thang IP, including policy support, removal of bottlenecks, and attracting high-quality investors.

In his directive remarks, Chairman Ho Van Muoi noted that this was his third working visit to the industrial park. Although some improvements have been made, overall results remain limited, which he said was a matter of concern.
He emphasized that with advantages such as proximity to an airport and flat terrain, Tam Thang IP is a valuable asset that few localities possess. However, its current performance requires a frank reassessment.

From now on, the Industrial Parks Management Board and the infrastructure company must coordinate with relevant agencies to conduct a thorough legal review of all projects. Viable projects will continue to receive support and be adjusted where necessary, while non-compliant or ineffective ones must be revoked without exception. There will be no exceptions in this process.

According to the Chairman, an efficiently operating industrial park will help address key issues such as social housing, employment income, and effective land use. Therefore, all departments, sectors and localities must work together with strong determination to achieve this goal.
On the same day, Chairman Ho Van Muoi also inspected several projects in Cu Jut Commune.
Out of the 50 projects in Tam Thang IP: 30 projects are operational, 14 projects have been newly licensed, 4 projects are temporarily suspended, 2 projects have been terminated and are undergoing asset liquidation and land recovery.
In 2025, total revenue of secondary enterprises in the industrial park reached VND 5.11 trillion, contributing VND 47 billion to the state budget.
