Lam Dong tourism hits VND 1.42 trillion during the April 30-May 1 Holiday
According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the extended April 30-May 1 holiday, combined with sunny weather, boosted travel demand, drawing visitors to Lam Dong’s cool highlands and coastal destinations for short getaways.

During the four-day holiday, Lam Dong welcomed an estimated 620,000 visitors, up about 21% year-on-year, including around 21,000 international arrivals. Tourism revenue was estimated at approximately VND 1.42 trillion.
Visitor numbers peaked between April 30 and May 2. The average occupancy rate at accommodation facilities reached around 70-80%, while three- to five-star establishments recorded rates of 85-96%, with some days reaching full capacity (peaking at 100% on some days)

Earlier, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued directives to strengthen tourism management and ensure safety and service quality during major holidays, including Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day, April 30 and May 1, while also launching the 2026 tourism stimulus programme. Phu Quy Special Administrative Zone inaugurated its night food street at 6 p.m. on April 30, contributing to diversifying tourism products and enhancing visitor experiences.

To meet rising demand, the department coordinated with relevant agencies to organise a wide range of cultural, artistic and entertainment activities to attract visitors. Notably, the province successfully launched the “Welcome Summer Tourism 2026” programme and announced the master plan for Mui Ne National Tourism Area to 2040, with a vision to 2050, under the theme: “Come to Lam Dong – chase the clouds, ride the waves.”

Tourist sites worked closely with local authorities and functional forces to ensure security, fire prevention and safety measures, particularly in high-risk areas such as lakes, waterfalls, rivers and streams. Rescue teams, signage systems and safety regulations were strengthened to support visitors.

Tourism businesses also improved infrastructure, diversified their offerings and enhanced service quality. Many participated in promotional campaigns through discounts, vouchers and service upgrades to attract visitors. Numerous entertainment events were organised, drawing large crowds.

Overall, tourism service prices, especially accommodation, remained stable, with no significant fluctuations. Businesses complied strictly with pricing regulations, and no cases of overcharging or tourist harassment were reported.
