Lam Dong Vice Chairman Dinh Van Tuan Surveys Krong No Volcanic Cave System
On October 17, Dinh Van Tuan, Member of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, surveyed scenic sites in the Krong No volcanic cave system in Nam Da Commune, Lam Dong Province.

Assessing the Heritage Value of C2 Cave
The delegation visited the Krong No Information Center, C2 Cave and Dray Sap Waterfall.
Located in Duc Lap Hamlet, Nam Da Commune, C2 Cave is part of the Krong No volcanic cave system. The area has considerable potential for development into a network of tourist destinations within the UNESCO Dak Nong Global Geopark in Lam Dong Province.

C2 Cave is also one of 10 caves in the Krong No volcanic cave system containing traces of prehistoric archaeological activity. Given its outstanding heritage values, a dossier is being prepared for submission to the competent authorities for consideration and designation of the cave as a national-level relic.
Following the site survey, Vice Chairman Dinh Van Tuan requested that Nam Da Commune coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to continue finalizing the dossier and recommend that the competent authorities consider designating the scenic site of C2 Cave as a national-level relic.

Improving the Management of Geopark Sites in Lam Dong
Regarding the Krong No Information Center, the Vice Chairman requested that Nam Da Commune work with relevant agencies to complete the necessary procedures and conditions for the handover of the facility, organize its management and operation, and ensure its effective use. These efforts are expected to maximize the value of the investment while contributing to the promotion and preservation of geological heritage.

The Dak Nong Geopark Culture and Management Center is responsible for providing professional assistance and guidance to local authorities during the transfer of management and operation of infrastructure-equipped sites within the Dak Nong Geopark area. It will also help prepare the necessary conditions for the 2027 revalidation of the UNESCO Dak Nong Global Geopark in Lam Dong Province.
