Lam Dong Vice Chairman Inspects Coastal Road Project Progress
On March 24, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Hong Hai conducted a field inspection and worked with relevant departments and local authorities on the implementation of the coastal road and river-crossing bridge project.

The project spans Phu Thuy, Phan Thiet and Tien Thanh wards, covering a total length of approximately 14.6 km. It begins at the DT.706B roundabout (Phu Thuy Ward) and ends at the intersection with DT.719 road at Doc Campuchia (Tien Thanh Ward).

Under the proposed plan, the road will be developed to a full six-lane standard. Key highlights include bridges spanning the Ca Ty and Phu Hai rivers, designed with distinctive architecture to serve as visual landmarks and enhance the area’s tourism appeal.

The coastal corridor is also planned as an integrated urban space, featuring green belts, central parks, and mixed-use developments combining commercial, service and high-rise residential areas. The design aims to maximize coastal landscape advantages while ensuring a modern, sustainable living environment.

The project carries an estimated total investment of VND 9.49 trillion and will be implemented in two construction packages:
Package 1: From the starting point to Doi Duong Park (first three sections)
Package 2: From Doi Duong Park to the end of the route (remaining two sections)

Regarding site clearance, preliminary surveys show that around 141 households along the route will require resettlement. In addition, the section between Doi Duong Park and Thuong Chanh Park is expected to affect about 224 houses, with approximately 158 households needing relocation.

According to the Project Management Unit No. 2, planning for both the road alignment and land-use development has been largely completed in coordination with relevant agencies.
Concluding the session, Vice Chairman Nguyen Hong Hai emphasized the project’s strategic importance, noting that it aligns with public expectations and the province’s long-term development vision.

He instructed the Department of Finance to rigorously assess investor capacity and report to the provincial authority. A dedicated project task force, led by the Department of Construction, will be established to ensure proper procedures and effective implementation.
The Department of Construction has been assigned to accelerate inter-ward planning, including the coastal route, and to review and propose resettlement areas before April 15.
Relevant agencies and localities are required to actively contribute to coastal reclamation planning, while investors are expected to closely coordinate with authorities to expedite project implementation once the project is approved.
