Lam Dong Women's Basketball Team Wins Bronze at 2026 National U18 Championship
The Lam Dong women's basketball team won the bronze medal at the 2026 National U18 5x5 Youth Basketball Championship, which concluded in Hue on July 22 after 10 days of competition.

The Vietnam Basketball Federation, in collaboration with the Hue City Department of Culture and Sports, organized the tournament, which ran from July 12 to 22 at the Physical Education Faculty Gymnasium of Hue University. It featured 13 teams, including nine men’s teams and four women’s teams, with almost 200 athletes representing 14 provinces, cities, sectors and other units from across the country.

In the men's division, the People's Public Security squad triumphed over Ho Chi Minh City with a score of 72-58 in the final, securing their first championship title in the tournament. Ho Chi Minh City took home the silver medal, while Hanoi 1 and the Air Defense - Air Force PEAK team both earned bronze medals.
In the women's division, Ho Chi Minh City emerged victorious against Hanoi by a narrow score of 54-49 in the final, successfully retaining their championship title. Lam Dong and Gia Lai each earned bronze medals.
The women's basketball team from Lam Dong consists of 21 members, including seven players on the provincial team and 14 talented young athletes.
