On the evening of August 28, at Gia Nghia Central Square, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee held the closing ceremony of the 2026 “Welcome to the Summer Tourism Season” series.

The event was attended by Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Dieu K're, former Central Party Committee member and former Standing Deputy Secretary of the former Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee; Major General Dinh Hong Tieng, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Dinh Van Tuan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Ton Thien San, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Representatives of provincial departments, agencies and sectors, together with thousands of local residents and visitors, also attended the program.

A Vibrant Summer, New Journeys Ahead
The 2026 "Welcome to the Summer Tourism Season" program was a diverse series of cultural, sporting and tourism events, festivals, promotion and cooperation activities.

The program aimed to promote Lam Dong's image, strengthen its tourism brand and create fresh momentum for the development of the new Lam Dong - a destination where the sea, flowers and highlands converge.

Since late April 2026, a wide range of vibrant activities have been held across the province. Highlights included the opening ceremony associated with the announcement of the Master Plan for the Construction of Mui Ne National Tourism Area; tourism and OCOP product showcases; demand-stimulation and promotional programs; cultural, sports and festival activities; and business networking events with domestic and international partners.
Together, these activities have contributed to a dynamic, diverse and distinctive tourism picture for Lam Dong.

The results have also contributed to the tourism sector's strong performance in the first eight months of 2026. The province welcomed more than 16.46 million visitors, up 19 percent, while tourism revenue reached nearly VND45.6 trillion, an increase of 22.3 percent.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Tuan said these were encouraging figures, particularly as the tourism sector continues to face numerous challenges, including complicated developments in the Middle East and the temporary closure of Lien Khuong International Airport for upgrading.

The Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee commended and praised the responsible, proactive and creative coordination of provincial departments, agencies and localities, while expressing its appreciation to the business community, the Tourism Association and organizations and individuals for their continued support.

Building Momentum for Sustainable Tourism Growth
Lam Dong will continue to capitalize on its vast, diverse and distinctive development space, stretching from blue seas and sun-drenched coastal areas to flower-filled highlands and majestic forests.
The province will strengthen links among localities, businesses and communities, as well as with other provinces and cities and international partners. It will also promote the effective use of its cultural, natural and human values, gradually shaping the identity of “Lam Dong - The Green Symphony.”

This will provide a foundation for Lam Dong tourism to continue making breakthroughs, striving to achieve and surpass the target of welcoming more than 25 million visitors in 2026 and contributing to the province's goal of double-digit economic growth.
At the same time, the province aims to reinforce its position as one of Vietnam and the region's attractive, green, professional and highly competitive destinations.
I hope the spirit that ‘every resident is a tourism ambassador, every business is a creative force, and every product and destination is a beautiful story about our homeland of Lam Dong’ will continue to spread, contributing to a friendly, attractive and distinctive image of Lam Dong tourism.
Dinh Van Tuan, Member of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee

The closing ceremony presented residents and visitors with a vibrant and carefully staged artistic program featuring singers Vo Ha Tram, Nam Giang and Tieu Minh Phung, together with performances by the Lam Dong Provincial Art Theater.

Nearly 20 musical and fashion performances took audiences through the distinctive landscapes of Lam Dong - from the blue hues of the sea and the brilliant beauty of its flower-growing regions to the majestic, pristine character of its highlands and forests.

The closing ceremony brought a vibrant summer season to an end while opening the way to new journeys and tourism seasons. Ahead lies a series of new events and tourism products, particularly activities celebrating the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2026, along with cultural, sports, tourism, investment promotion and trade events scheduled for the remainder of the year.
