Lien Khuong Airport Closes for Repairs: How to Reach Da Lat
Lien Khuong International Airport will be temporarily closed from March 4 to August 25 for runway maintenance and upgrades. During the closure, all flights to and from Da Lat will be suspended.
Alternative Travel Options
1. Fly to Cam Ranh + Transfer by Road
Travelers can fly to Cam Ranh International Airport and continue by car to Da Lat.
- Via Highway 27C (Khanh Le Pass): Open daily from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- After 6:00 PM: Vehicles are advised to use Highway 27 (Song Pha Pass) as an alternative route.
Several transport operators are planning shuttle services between Cam Ranh and Da Lat.
2. From Ho Chi Minh City
- Highway 20: 305–307 km, about 7 hours, possible congestion near Dau Giay.
- Expressway + Highway 28B (Recommended): Around 6 hours, faster and more convenient (currently near completion).
Despite the airport closure, Da Lat remains fully accessible by road. Visitors are advised to check pass operating hours and plan travel time accordingly.
