Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Surveys Planning Options for Tuyen Lam Lake
On August 25, a working delegation from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, led by Vu The Duc, Deputy Director General of the Department of Planning and Finance, conducted a field survey as part of the preparation of the General Plan for the Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area in Lam Dong Province through 2050.
Working with the delegation were Nguyen Hong Hai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province, along with representatives of provincial departments, sectors and localities, the Management Board of the Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area, and the planning consultancy unit.
The survey aims to clarify several issues in the dossier for the General Plan for the Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area through 2050, particularly the proposed layout of the landscape bridge system within the national-level scenic area and the mixed-use land planning proposal for Functional Subdivision 3.0.
According to a report by the Management Board of the Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area, the planning area covers 2,944.28 hectares. The plan aims to develop the site into a world-class national tourist destination based on green growth, with high-end eco-tourism, resort and entertainment products, while preserving natural resources, protecting the environment and promoting cultural values.
One proposal under consideration is a system of landscape bridges and connecting routes designed to showcase the scenery, create new visitor experiences and help preserve and promote the values of the Tuyen Lam Lake national scenic spot.
According to the option under study, three landscape bridges are proposed. Bridge No. 1 would be about 220 meters long, linking the public park on the right branch of Tuyen Lam Lake with the peninsula near Hoa Hoang Anh Street. Bridges No. 2 and No. 3 would each be about 180 meters long, improving connections between the peninsula and public park areas around the lake.
The bridges are designed to preserve and enhance the scenic landscape, minimize impacts on the lake surface and use lightweight materials that blend with the surroundings. They would mainly accommodate pedestrians, cyclists and sightseeing electric vehicles, creating new visitor attractions around Tuyen Lam Lake.
Regarding Functional Subdivision 3.0, the area covers about 150 hectares, including roughly 53 hectares within Zone II of the Tuyen Lam Lake National Scenic Spot. The consultancy unit has proposed allocating part of the site for residential development to make effective use of cleared land, improve investment efficiency and attract potential investors.
Previously, on July 13, 2026, the Management Board of the Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area submitted the dossier to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for feedback. By August 12, it had provided additional documents clarifying the proposed landscape bridges in Zone I and residential land allocation in Zone II of the national scenic spot.
During the survey, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai asked relevant agencies to work closely with the ministry delegation to resolve outstanding issues and incorporate professional feedback into the final plan.
