National Basketball Championship: Lam Dong Women’s Team Wins Bronze
The Lam Dong women’s basketball team has won the bronze medal at the 2026 National 5x5 Basketball Top Teams Championship.
On April 20, leaders of the Lam Dong Training and Sports Center (the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism) announced that the province’s 12-member women’s basketball team had won bronze at the 2026 National 5x5 Basketball Top Teams Championship in Khanh Hoa Province.
Co-organized by the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Vietnam Basketball Federation, the tournament was held from April 10 to 19, featuring 12 men’s and women’s teams and treating spectators to high-level performances and thrilling matches.
Teams competed in a round-robin format to determine the standings, with the top four advancing to the semifinals. The semifinal winners then moved on to the final to contest the gold medal, while the two losing sides shared third place.
In the women’s division, Can Tho won the title, Ho Chi Minh City finished second, and Lam Dong and Hanoi shared third place.

The tournament provides a professional platform for competition, exchange, and learning, while helping grow the 5x5 basketball movement across the country. It also allows organizers to scout and select promising athletes for the national teams ahead of upcoming regional and international tournaments.
