Newly upgraded National Highway 28B

Lam Dong Province has considerable potential and ample room for development, thanks to its diverse natural advantages stretching from the highlands to coastal and island areas. With a long-term strategic vision, the province has invested early in and completed key connectivity infrastructure to drive breakthrough growth in the local economy.

In reality, investment in transport infrastructure is an investment in development, directly generating economic efficiency and income for local residents. National Highway 28B stands out as a clear example.

It is no coincidence that National Highway 28B has attracted great interest from residents both inside and outside Lam Dong Province. The 69-km highway has recently been upgraded and expanded, with most of the work basically completed at a total investment of VND 1.435 trillion.

After completion, National Highway 28B is expected to deliver clear benefits. Beyond strengthening transport links, it will help unlock local economic potential, particularly in trade, services and tourism.

A route increasingly attracting visitors for travel and check-ins

Today, not only residents in the eastern part of Lam Dong but also people from the Southeast region traveling to the center of Da Lat (Lam Dong) — and vice versa — have chosen National Highway 28B because travel time has been shortened thanks to its connection with the Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet Expressway and National Highway 1A.

Agricultural products from key production areas such as Don Duong, Ka Do, and Ta Hine are also being transported in increasing quantities to southern consumption markets via National Highway 28B, as the route has become safer and more convenient.

Besides being safe and convenient, National Highway 28B is also notable for its striking scenery, drawing visitors who liken the route to a picturesque painting. From Sao Mai Peak, Dai Ninh Pass attracts many travelers who stop to take in sweeping views of rolling hills and pristine blue lakes blending into a vast, tranquil landscape.

With existing infrastructure advantages and beautiful natural scenery, localities along National Highway 28B can make better use of land on both sides of the road than before.

The new route will help localities better utilize roadside land

With the strong appeal of the “smokeless industry,” Lam Dong Province is home to many famous tourist destinations such as Da Lat, Mui Ne, and Ta Dung. This provides favorable conditions for localities to plan and develop appropriate service and tourism sectors based on connections from vast forests and flower-filled highlands to the blue sea.

According to Bui Phu Hai, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ta Hine Commune, the completion of the road has significantly reduced travel time and sped up the movement of goods to southern areas, bringing clear benefits to local residents.

Many localities are planning to effectively utilize newly invested infrastructure

When infrastructure is completed and developed ahead of time, it often serves as a driving force to unlock the potential of the regions through which new roads pass. Therefore, current priorities include managing construction order, protecting road corridors, and especially implementing proper land-use planning to ensure that public investment resources are used effectively and help localities fully capitalize on their development opportunities.
