National Highway 28B Set for Completion in April 2026
Favorable weather and progress in site clearance have created favorable conditions for the National Highway 28B upgrade and rehabilitation project. The project investor has pledged to speed up construction, targeting completion of asphalt paving along the entire route by the end of April 2026, in line with directives from the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee.

Site Clearance Completed, Construction Gains Momentum
In recent days, as the initial section of National Highway 28B connecting to National Highway 1A—passing through Luong Son Commune—has been largely handed over, contractors have mobilized manpower, equipment, and machinery to speed up construction.
To ensure overall progress, the entire political system of Luong Son Commune has worked intensively, day and night, to mobilize residents to hand over land.
To date, among 320 cases subject to land clearance with approved compensation plans, the majority of residents have agreed to receive compensation and hand over land for the project.

Le Dang Phap, Vice Chairman of the Luong Son Commune People’s Committee, said that local authorities have actively coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to promote public awareness and mobilize residents to accept compensation and hand over land. Currently, only two households, covering approximately 15 meters, have yet to comply.
We are continuing to persuade the remaining households to hand over their land and expect to complete site clearance by the end of this week. At the same time, all necessary documentation has been prepared to enforce compulsory measures in accordance with regulations for cases that fail to comply.

Strong Direction to Ensure Timely Completion
During an on-site inspection of the project on March 11, 2026, Ho Van Muoi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized that National Highway 28B is a critical driver of the province’s development, especially while Lien Khuong Airport remains temporarily closed.

He requested the Central Road Project Management Board to act decisively, mobilizing maximum manpower and equipment, and increasing work shifts to ensure completion by the end of April 2026.
Regarding overall progress, 61 out of 68 km of the route have been asphalted. The remaining 7 km, spread across several sections near the start of the route, are currently being fast-tracked.
