Nearly 30,000 residents and tourists celebrate the New Year 2026 in Lam Dong Province

As 2025 comes to a close, the "Welcome the New Year 2026" program, organized by Lam Dong Province and concurrently hosted at three locations in Da Lat, Phan Thiet, and Gia Nghia, brought 30,000 locals and tourists into the joyous and celebratory atmosphere.

Nearly 20,000 locals and tourists are gathered at Lam Vien Square, a prime location, to celebrate the New Year despite chilly temperatures dropping between 12 and 15°C. Around 10,000 locals and tourists from Phan Thiet and Gia Nghia join the vibrant atmosphere, resulting in coordinated celebrations throughout the province.

Several culturally rich music and dance acts blending tradition with contemporary aspects create a cozy, youthful, and emotionally captivating New Year's Eve in the distinctively chilly air of Da Lat. Numerous locals and tourists participate in the countdown to welcome the New Year, as do provincial dignitaries.

Mr. Ho Van Muoi, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, greeted locals, authorities, members of the armed forces, the business community, employees, and guests on New Year's Eve. In his speech, he emphasized the province's noteworthy accomplishments in 2025 and encouraged optimism and determination as the new year begins with lofty goals.

Despite difficulties, Lam Dong achieved and exceeded several important goals in 2025. The average annual income per individual is about 110 million VND, while state budget revenue is expected to exceed 32 trillion VND. With almost 20 million tourists, tourism is still doing quite well. While social welfare, cultural and social sectors, and national defense and security are upheld, social order and safety are guaranteed.

Residents and tourists express trust in the province's development strategy and optimism that 2026 will bring more chances and ongoing improvements in people's living standards amid the atmosphere of welcoming the New Year.
