Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh works with Lam Dong on stalled projects
Lam Dong Province has proposed a series of solutions to address long-standing obstacles affecting stalled investment projects during a working session with Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh.

On March 3, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh led a Government working delegation to Lam Dong to review and resolve difficulties related to pending projects under Steering Committee 751.

Receiving and working with the delegation were comrades : Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ho Van Muoi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee; Dang Hong Sy, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; and Bui Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

Reporting to the delegation, Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam outlined Lam Dong’s socio-economic performance in the first two months of 2026. He noted that while the province has recorded positive signals in socio-economic development, resolving bottlenecks in stalled projects remains a significant challenge.

Lam Dong currently has 359 projects encountering difficulties, with nearly 250,000 billion VND in capital tied up. Of these, 83 projects have been updated and adjusted in the 751 database system.

Removing obstacles for stalled projects is a major and consistent policy of the Party and State. Lam Dong identifies this as an urgent and central mission to prevent waste and promote growth.

According to the Provincial Party Secretary, Lam Dong has established specialized task forces to review and address project bottlenecks. The province has also met with investors to discuss orientations and reaffirm its commitment to working alongside them to resolve key constraints and accelerate project implementation.

Beyond the efforts of the locality, Lam Dong respectfully requests the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister and relevant ministries and sectors to consider and direct solutions. The Government is urged to issue specific guidance on implementing conclusions of the Politburo and the National Assembly, providing a clear legal basis for local execution.

Of the 359 stalled projects in Lam Dong, total registered capital exceeds 245,000 billion VND, of which approximately 150,000 billion VND has already been disbursed into projects.

To address these challenges, the province has established six task forces by sector, each headed by a Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee. The task forces have convened 42 meetings and conducted on-site inspections to review and resolve obstacles.
To date, Lam Dong has resolved difficulties for 22 out of 359 projects. The province has also organized working sessions with project investors to identify practical solutions aimed at unlocking resources and restoring project momentum.
