Phan Thiet Ward Sustains “Saturday for a Bright, Green, Clean and Beautiful Environment” Campaign
On the morning of December 29, the People’s Committee of Phan Thiet Ward (Lam Dong Province) held a conference to review its emulation campaign, “Saturday for a Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful Environment.”

According to the ward authorities, environmental protection efforts have seen significant improvements in recent months. Every Saturday, officials, Party members, civil servants, public employees, mass organizations and residential groups have joined hands in cleaning streets, public spaces and coastal areas. A total of 40 cleanup drives have been organized, addressing 65 hotspots of waste accumulation and removing approximately 50 cubic meters of garbage and debris, with more than 600 participant turns recorded.
Communication activities have also been actively promoted. The ward has hung over 60 banners and posters encouraging environmental protection, distributed more than 200 leaflets on reducing plastic waste, and provided 200 eco-friendly fabric bags at local markets, helping raise awareness among residents.

At the conference, the People’s Committee of Phan Thiet Ward presented certificates of merit to three collectives and four individuals for their outstanding contributions to the campaign in 2025.
Despite notable progress, improper waste disposal—both in terms of timing and location—remains a challenge. The ward plans to intensify public awareness efforts, expand self-managed environmental sanitation models within residential areas, and strengthen monitoring and strict enforcement of environmental regulations.

Ward Chairman Tran Nguyen Loc called on all units and residential groups to maintain the movement “Phan Thiet: Bright – Green – Clean – Beautiful – One Weekly Cleanup, One Daily Action for the Environment.” The ward will also continue advising the installation and effective operation of surveillance cameras at waste-prone locations to enhance deterrence and prevent violations.
He emphasized that households, businesses and production facilities within the ward must comply with environmental regulations and dispose of waste properly.
Launched on August 23, 2025, the “Saturday for a Bright, Green, Clean and Beautiful Environment” campaign aims to mobilize the entire community to safeguard and preserve the ward’s environment and living spaces.
