Lam Dong’s tourism strengths are well recognised, with its year-round temperate climate, majestic natural landscapes, and diverse attractions including forests, waterfalls, lakes, beaches, and distinctive architectural heritage.

Lam Dong saw a strong holiday surge, with domestic and international travelers spreading across its varied landscapes, from cool, flower-filled highlands to sun-soaked beaches and forested escapes.

Along the coast, destinations like Phan Thiet, Mui Ne, La Gi and Phu Quy drew steady crowds over the four-day April 30–May 1 break. Clear skies and ocean breezes made beachgoing especially appealing, with visitors filling shorelines, taking part in water sports and lingering at cultural and sporting events that kept the energy high well into the evenings.

The buzz extended beyond the main beachfront hubs. Scenic coastal roads were packed with travelers stopping for sea views, swimming and fresh seafood, while nearby spots such as Ta Cu Mountain and Tien Thanh also reported strong foot traffic.

With demand expected to spike, local authorities rolled out a range of measures ahead of the holiday to keep tourism activities running smoothly. Safety patrols were stepped up, rescue teams were deployed at beaches and pools, and businesses were warned against overcharging or aggressive solicitation. Efforts to maintain cleanliness, food safety and traffic flow were also reinforced across key tourism areas.

During this April 30 and May 1 holiday, hotels and resorts along the coast were largely booked out, with occupancy topping 80% and many high-end properties in Mui Ne filled weeks in advance. Independent travelers also planned ahead, snapping up rooms early to avoid the rush.

In total, Lam Dong welcomed an estimated 620,000 visitors during the holiday - up 21% year-on-year, including about 21,000 international arrivals. Tourism revenue reached roughly VND 1.42 trillion. Earlier in the year, the Hung Kings’ holiday had already brought in around 350,000 visitors and nearly VND 770 billion in revenue.

For local officials and businesses, the numbers point to more than just a busy holiday, they signal growing momentum as Lam Dong continues to refine its offerings and position itself as one of Vietnam’s standout travel destinations.
