Boosting Protection and Promoting the Value of Heritage Sites
Authorities in Lam Dong Province are strengthening efforts to improve the management, protection, and promotion of historical–cultural relics and scenic sites, as part of a broader strategy to preserve heritage while supporting sustainable development.

Strengthening Legal Awareness and Oversight
The Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has requested local authorities and site management units to continue disseminating key legal frameworks, including the Law on Cultural Heritage and relevant government regulations.
The objective is to enhance awareness and accountability among Party committees, local governments, and communities in safeguarding cultural assets. At the same time, the supervisory role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations is being reinforced to ensure compliance with regulations on the conservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of heritage sites.
Enhancing Local Responsibility and Resource Mobilization
Local authorities are urged to take a more proactive role in managing and protecting heritage sites, with stricter control over inventory, classification, and preservation processes.
Coordination among agencies and localities will also be strengthened to improve the efficiency of state management while mobilizing both public and private resources for the restoration of degraded sites.
Heritage preservation is also being incorporated into community-based initiatives such as the “All People Unite to Build Cultural Life” campaign, encouraging broader public participation and making conservation part of everyday cultural life.
Linking Heritage with Sustainable Tourism
A key priority is to connect heritage conservation with sustainable tourism development, creating economic opportunities for local communities while preserving cultural values.
Authorities are promoting the application of advanced technologies—including 3D digitization, artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR)—to enhance conservation efforts and improve visitor experiences.
At the same time, stricter enforcement measures will be applied to address violations, ensuring a balanced approach between heritage protection and socio-economic growth.
Through these coordinated efforts, Lam Dong aims to preserve its cultural legacy while unlocking the long-term value of heritage as a driver of sustainable development.
