The project aims to improve sediment storage capacity, regulate water flow and reduce downstream flooding risks, while enhancing water quality in Xuan Huong Lake.

Key components include dredging about 1 hectare of the basin to an average depth of 2.4 meters; constructing a 510-meter embankment; building a 400-meter lakeside road; and installing drainage, railings and lighting systems. The plan also includes reinforcing more than 770 meters of stream to improve water discharge and protect surrounding infrastructure.

The project is managed by the Da Lat Area Construction Investment Project Management Board and classified as a Group C, Level IV irrigation work.

Authorities expect the upgrade to address pollution, improve the urban landscape and enhance public amenities, while supporting tourism development in Da Lat.
