Lam Dong Reviews Preparations for Hung Kings Commemoration Festival 2026
On April 22, a working delegation from the Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism conducted an inspection of preparations for the 2026 Hung Kings Commemoration Festival at Prenn Waterfall Tourist Area

Preparations underway across three thematic zones
At the meeting, Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Department, stated that the festival will be organized across three zones: “Lam Dong – Land of Flowers,” “Lam Dong – Great Highlands,” and “Lam Dong – Blue Sea,” with the “Land of Flowers” serving as the main venue.

To date, preparations have largely met the planned schedule. The system of directives and administrative documents has been fully issued. The Organizing Committee, Appraisal Council, and Jury Panel have been established, and regulations for festival competitions have been finalized.

Finalizing scripts, ensuring solemn rituals
The Provincial Center for Culture and Arts has completed the festival identity package, implemented visual communication campaigns, and issued invitations to relevant units and delegates. The ceremonial script and invocation text have been prepared and submitted for appraisal in accordance with regulations.

For the ceremonial segment, preparations ensure solemnity and adherence to traditional rituals. Detailed plans have been developed for the procession, offering ceremonies, and the arrangement of delegates for incense offering. Participating forces have been mobilized and trained as scheduled.

Diverse festival activities ready to serve visitors
For the festive segment, activities are being implemented on schedule, attracting participation from various units. Key highlights include offerings arrangement contests, flower arrangement, a traditional rural market, folk games, and human chess competitions...

Key highlights of the festival include the participation of 38 units in the festive segment; 16 units in offerings arrangement; 12 units in flower arrangement; 12 units in the rural market; and 8 units in folk games.

Additional Festival Highlights and Preparations
At the working session, representatives of Prenn Waterfall Tourist Area presented a detailed plan for infrastructure and logistics to serve the festival, with particular emphasis on traffic organization and vehicle arrangements.

Accordingly, access routes, event spaces, and parking areas for delegates, residents, and visitors have been carefully surveyed and calculated to ensure convenience and safety throughout the festival.
Members of the Organizing Committee focused discussions on finalizing traffic flow plans, spatial arrangements for competitions, the rural market, and folk game areas.

At the meeting, armed forces proposed specific measures to ensure security and order, traffic regulation, and fire prevention and control, affirming their readiness to mobilize maximum personnel and resources to ensure the festival runs safely and smoothly.
The health sector proposed plans to ensure medical services, including standby personnel and emergency response vehicles throughout the festival period.

A representative of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee recommended establishing a unified communication focal point among units to enhance coordination efficiency during the organization process.
Concluding the meeting, Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive and responsible efforts of relevant units in preparing for the festival. She also requested continued review and completion of remaining tasks, with a focus on logistics, security, traffic safety, and environmental sanitation.

She further emphasized the need for strict coordination across all three festival zones to ensure synchronized, effective operations that best serve the needs of residents and visitors.
