Localities Across Lam Dong Province Solemnly Observe Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day
On April 26, together with Phu Tho Province and localities across the country, local authorities throughout Lam Dong Province solemnly held ceremonies to commemorate Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day in a respectful and sacred atmosphere.
In Tuy Duc Commune, Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Council, attended a ceremony marking Hung Kings Commemoration Day, along with representatives from provincial departments, agencies and organizations, and many local residents.
The ceremony for the 2026 Hung Kings' Commemoration Day in Tuy Duc Commune, located on the border, was co-hosted by local officials and the management board of the Hung Kings Temple. Traditional rituals included the presentation of ceremonial offerings, flowers and incense, along with reports on local achievements and commemorative speeches honoring the nation’s history and expressing gratitude to the ancestors for founding and defending the country.
This annual cultural and spiritual event has been maintained in Tuy Duc Commune since 2017. It contributes to educating younger generations about the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source,” fostering patriotism and strengthening the great national unity bloc, especially in border areas.
The Hung Kings Temple, located in Hamlet 6 of Tuy Duc Commune, was established in 2017 with the support of the Phu Tho compatriots association and local community members, spanning over 200 square meters. Fully financed by community donations, this project demonstrates the people's commitment to honoring their heritage.
Maintaining the annual Hung Kings Commemoration Day event not only meets the spiritual and religious needs of the community, but also helps preserve and promote national cultural identity while providing spiritual motivation for local development.

In Phan Ri Cua Commune, the Hung Kings Commemoration Festival was solemnly held, attracting a large number of officials, Party members and local residents.
Present at the event to offer incense were Tieu Hong Phuc, leaders from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and representatives from the Provincial Party Committee Office.
The ceremony was also attended by leaders from the localities of Bac Binh and Lien Huong, along with representatives from Vinh Hao, Tuy Phong and Hoa Thang communes, religious dignitaries, intellectuals, officials, soldiers and many local residents.
In a reverent and solemn setting, delegates respectfully presented incense, flowers, and ceremonial offerings to honor the Hung Kings — the ancestors who founded the first state of the Vietnamese nation.
Traditional rituals were carried out with great care, reflecting the moral tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source.” The ceremony expressed the deep gratitude of today’s generations to their ancestors, while also conveying wishes for peace, favorable weather and sustainable local development.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party organization, authorities and people of the locality, Vo Minh Chien reviewed the historical traditions and sacred meaning of Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day.
The Hung Kings Temple in Phan Ri Cua Commune dates back to 1859, when it originally served as a communal house dedicated to the worship of guardian deities and early settlers. In 1958, local residents began worshipping the Hung Kings at the site.

In 1964, the site officially became known as the Hung Kings Temple and has been preserved ever since. Nearly two centuries later, it remains an important spiritual and cultural center for local residents.
Owing to its unique historical and cultural significance, the Phan Ri Cua Hung Kings Temple was designated as a provincial architectural and artistic relic site in 2010.
In 2016, the temple was notably presented with sacred "soil, water, and incense ashes" sourced from the Hung Kings Temple in Phu Tho Province — the ancestral home of the Vietnamese people — thereby enhancing its spiritual importance and reinforcing the bond among the descendants of Lac Hong across generations.
The ceremony commemorating the Hung Kings in Phan Ri Cua Commune is not only an annual cultural and spiritual observance, but also an opportunity to instill patriotism in younger generations, strengthen national solidarity, and encourage officials, Party members and residents to contribute to the development of their homeland and the nation.
At the Tran Hung Dao Temple located in Xuan Huong – Da Lat Ward, the celebration of the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day was conducted in a dignified and reverent manner.
The event was graced by local authorities, religious representatives, and a large number of community members.
In a solemn atmosphere, attendees respectfully offered incense, flowers and ceremonial offerings in tribute to the Hung Kings, expressing deep gratitude to the ancestors who founded and defended the nation.

During the ceremony, Xuan Huong – Da Lat Ward reflected on the illustrious traditions of the Vietnamese people over thousands of years, highlighting the profound importance of Hung Kings' Commemoration Day in the cultural life of local residents.
The respectful observance of Hung Kings' Commemoration Day not only embodies the ethical principle of “When drinking water, remember its source,” but also inspires officials, Party members, and community members to acknowledge the nation's heritage, enhance unity, and promote self-sufficiency and resilience.
Through these initiatives, the local area contributes to the ongoing growth of Xuan Huong – Da Lat Ward and aligns with the entire nation in striving towards a prosperous and cultured society.
At the Hung Kings National Ancestors Temple, the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cat Tien Commune organized the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day ceremony in a solemn and respectful atmosphere.
In the sacred atmosphere, leaders of the communes, delegates and local residents respectfully offered incense, flowers and ceremonial items in memory of the Hung Kings, expressing deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh and the ancestors who founded and defended the nation.
At the ceremony, leaders of Cat Tien Commune reviewed the glorious traditions of nation-building and national defense, affirmed the sacred significance of Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day in the spiritual life of the people, and highlighted notable socio-economic development achievements in recent years.
