Visitor numbers rise sharply, energizing Da Lat during the April 30–May 1 Holiday
Tourist numbers surged, bringing a vibrant atmosphere to Da Lat during the April 30 – May 1 holiday. The mountain city became increasingly lively, with major roads and popular attractions crowded with visitors.

During the April 30–May 1 holiday, many routes leading to central Da Lat were crowded with vehicles, while popular tourist attractions drew large numbers of both residents and visitors.
In areas such as Xuan Huong Lake, Da Lat Market, and main streets, including Tran Quoc Toan, Hoang Van Thu, Tran Phu, and Ba Thang Tu, both pedestrian and vehicle traffic rose noticeably during peak hours.
Traffic moved slowly in long lines, but no prolonged traffic jams were reported. Thanks to strengthened traffic control measures and the presence of authorities, circulation remained generally smooth.

Beyond the city center, popular tourist attractions such as waterfalls, tea hills, flower gardens, and suburban photo spots also saw a surge in visitors. Many families and groups of young travelers chose to rent motorbikes or use self-drive cars to explore the city, adding pressure to major access routes.
Favorable weather remains a key factor keeping visitors in Da Lat. During the April 30 – May 1 holiday, mild sunshine, fresh air, and temperatures of 22–24°C created ideal conditions for sightseeing and relaxation. Many travelers said the city’s cool highland climate was the main reason they chose Da Lat over coastal destinations.

Regarding accommodation, occupancy rates at hotels and homestays in central Da Lat reached around 70–80%. Some well-located hotels near Da Lat Market or Xuan Huong Lake saw a sharp rise in guests from the evening of April 30 and were nearly fully booked by May 1. Streets with a high concentration of accommodations, such as Phan Dinh Phung, Bui Thi Xuan, and Hoang Van Thu, were bustling with visitors.
According to a lodging provider, bookings were made earlier than usual this year, especially by families and short-stay tour groups. Room rates remained stable, without sharp increases, helping create a more comfortable and reassuring experience for visitors to Da Lat.

Earlier, during the Hung Kings’ Commemoration holiday (April 25–27), Lam Dong welcomed around 350,000 visitors, including approximately 14,000 international tourists, with most traveling to destinations such as Da Lat, Mui Ne, and Phan Thiet. Total tourism revenue was estimated at nearly VND 770 billion.

Encouraged by the positive rise in visitors during the Hung Kings’ Commemoration holiday, the tourism sector in Lam Dong expects visitor numbers to continue increasing over the April 30 – May 1 holiday.
Service providers and tourist attractions have also proactively improved service quality, ensured security and environmental hygiene, and enhanced overall visitor experiences, offering a safe and welcoming atmosphere in the mountain city of Da Lat.
In 2026, Lam Dong aims to rank among the top five most visited localities in the country, targeting 25.8 million visitors, including around 1.58 million international arrivals, with tourism revenue reaching approximately VND 71.5 trillion.
