The exhumation of remains from unidentified martyrs’ graves is carried out with the utmost care and solemnity.

The pilot program is one of the key activities in response to the “500-Day-and-Night Campaign to Accelerate the Search, Collection and Identification of Martyrs’ Remains,” leading up to the 80th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947–July 27, 2027).

Lam Dong Province has 12 martyrs’ cemeteries, 11 of which require DNA sampling, digitization and the official handover of samples taken from martyrs’ remains, covering a total of 4,845 graves.

Duc Linh Martyrs’ Cemetery was selected by the Lam Dong Provincial Steering Committee 515 as the pilot site for future replication. The cemetery currently has 55 unidentified martyrs’ graves.
