Phu Thuy Ward Launches Campaign for a Bright, Green and Clean Environment

Nguyen Huu Thong, Provincial Party Committee member and Secretary of the Ward Party Committee, speaks at the ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Huu Thong, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Ward Party Committee and Chairman of the Ward People’s Council, noted that following administrative reorganization, Phu Thuy ward now has a population exceeding 55,000 residents across 23 neighborhoods and a long coastline, generating more than 45 tons of waste daily.

The ward has implemented numerous environmental sanitation campaigns, addressed pollution hotspots and expanded tree planting and maintenance programs. Waste collection rates remain high, and many self-managed neighborhood models have proven effective.

However, waste remains an issue in several small alleys and coastal areas, while some collection points require improvement.

In April 2026, the Ward Party Committee issued a specialized resolution aimed at strengthening Party leadership in environmental sanitation and building a truly “Bright – Green – Clean – Beautiful – Civilized” urban area.

At today’s ceremony, I call on the ward People’s Committee to review existing infrastructure and reorganize waste collection routes, collection points and schedules to suit each locality. Strict measures must be taken against violations related to illegal dumping, encroachment and activities that undermine environmental sanitation, while strengthening urban discipline. I also urge the ward’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to intensify public awareness campaigns, encouraging residents to dispose of waste at the right time and in the proper locations, and to replicate effective self-management models within residential communities", the Ward Party Secretary emphasized

Every resident of Phu Thuy ward should view environmental protection as a way to safeguard their own health and living environment. Small actions such as disposing of waste properly and keeping the area in front of one’s home clean can make a meaningful contribution to creating cleaner, greener and more beautiful neighborhoods and wards.
