On the morning of June 12, nearly 41,000 candidates across Lam Dong Province completed their two elective subject examinations, officially bringing the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination to a close.

Theo đánh giá của nhiều thí sinh, đề thi các môn tự chọn khó hơn so với năm 2025 và đề thi thử của tỉnh Lâm Đồng
According to many candidates, this year’s elective subject exams are more difficult than those in both the 2025 graduation exam and Lam Dong Province’s mock examinations.

Higher Level of Differentiation in This Year’s High School Graduation Examination

At many examination sites throughout the province, candidates reported that this year’s elective subject tests were more challenging than those of the 2025 graduation examination and recent mock exams, particularly in the application and advanced application sections.

At the examination site of Le Quy Don High School – Tuy Duc (Tuy Duc Commune), candidate Luu Do Thao Nhi said she had chosen History and Geography as her elective subjects. According to Nhi, both exams presented a considerable level of difficulty, especially the multiple-choice sections.

"I completed nearly 100% of last year’s exam, but this year I’m only about 60% confident in my performance. The multiple-choice questions were the most difficult and time-consuming,” Nhi shared.

Similarly, many candidates at Chu Van An High School – Gia Nghia (Bac Gia Nghia Ward) noted that the English and Natural Sciences exams featured clear differentiation among students. Candidate Vu Tan Khoa commented that the English test was longer and more difficult than last year’s, causing some concern as it is one of the key subjects for university admission.

Taking Chemistry and Biology at Nguyen Chi Thanh High School for the Gifted (Nam Gia Nghia Ward), Nguyen Minh Anh also remarked that the official examination was significantly more difficult than the mock tests.

Reports from examination sites in the province’s coastal areas indicated that while the exams met graduation requirements, achieving high scores would not be easy.

Candidate Tran Dinh Huy, who sat for the exam at Tran Hung Dao High School for the Gifted (Phu Thuy Ward), said the tests clearly differentiated student abilities. Meanwhile, Nguyen Phan Phuong Thy, a candidate at Duc Linh High School (Duc Linh Commune), observed that both Physics and English covered a broad range of knowledge and included numerous questions designed to distinguish academic performance levels.

“Scoring between 8 and 10 points will be quite difficult. The Physics exam contained many theoretical questions that required a thorough understanding of the subject. I expect my results to be fairly good,” Phuong Thy said.

At Ngo Quyen High School in Phu Quy Special Zone, candidate Chau Dieu Tri considered the Mathematics exam relatively manageable. However, the remaining subjects, particularly English, which is important for university admission, were more demanding and required strong application skills.

Candidates Leave the Examination Hall Relieved

As the final examination session concluded, many candidates left their examination rooms with a sense of relief after several days of pressure and anticipation.

At Chi Lang Secondary and High School (Lam Vien – Da Lat Ward), Nguyen Tran Trung Tin said the History exam was reasonably accessible, while Geography proved more challenging, particularly the true-or-false section. He estimated that he had completed approximately 70–80% of the History exam and around 60% of the Geography test.

At the same venue, Huynh Thi Minh Chau assessed the Physics exam as more difficult than expected, while the Chemistry paper closely followed the curriculum but still contained several highly discriminative questions.
