Under the directive, provincial authorities ordered strict compliance with Notice No. 68-TB/VPTW from the Central Party Office and the province's own Plan No. 7013/KH-UBND. The core focus will center on comprehensively building the traditional medicine system from the provincial down to the grassroots level, while driving a harmonious integration of traditional and modern medicine in disease prevention and treatment.

The Department of Health has been tasked with spearheading the restructuring of the Pham Ngoc Thach Traditional Medicine Hospital, transforming it into a full-scale General Hospital of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy.

Concurrently, the department must bolster grassroots healthcare capacity to ensure a steady ratio of traditional medicine doctors across commune-level health stations.

Lam Dong Province plans to transform the Pham Ngoc Thach Traditional Medicine Hospital into a comprehensive General Hospital of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy to meet growing demands for healthcare, clinical training, and scientific research.

The province will prioritize the preservation of indigenous medicinal plant genetic resources and establish specialized, concentrated herbal cultivation zones aimed at securing sustainable livelihoods for local communities.

Notably, Lam Dong plans to heavily promote public-private partnerships and attract investment into traditional medicine manufacturing.

This initiative will run alongside the deployment of a digitized database and the expansion of traditional medical healthcare services, leveraging the province’s competitive advantage in high-end eco-resort and wellness tourism.

In tandem with development efforts, regulatory oversight will be tightened. Local authorities plan to intensify inspections of medical practices and herbal drug trading to promptly detect and strictly penalize violations.
