Winning a total of 18 medals—including eight gold, four silver, and six bronze—Lam Dong’s taekwondo team finished as the overall runner-up at the 2026 National Taekwondo Club Championships, held in Lai Chau from June 19 to 26.

The tournament was co-hosted by the Lai Chau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Sports Authority, and the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation. It attracted 985 athletes from 48 taekwondo clubs across provinces, cities, and sectors nationwide, establishing it as one of Vietnam’s leading taekwondo events in 2026.
Competitors showcased their skills in various poomsae (forms) and kyorugi (sparring) categories across different age groups.
As stated by the organizing committee, the championships provided a valuable chance to evaluate the growth of Vietnam’s taekwondo scene and the training programs for athletes, while also serving as a venue for clubs to share experiences and discover promising talents for upcoming national and international competitions.

At the end of the tournament, the organizing committee distributed 119 sets of medals and certificates to the winning athletes from all events. Team trophies and banners were also awarded to the top three overall finishers in the poomsae, men's sparring, and women's sparring divisions, along with recognition for the overall team standings.
