Lam Dong Wins Multiple Top Awards at the Cham Ethnic Culture Festival
The Lam Dong delegation concluded its participation in the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival 2026 in Khanh Hoa Province with an impressive medal haul and multiple top honors across sports cultural and artistic performances exhibitions and the promotion of Cham cultural heritage

The 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival was held from June 26 to 28, attracting approximately 1,000 artisans, performers, amateur artists, and athletes from seven provinces and cities, including Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, An Giang, Tay Ninh, and Ho Chi Minh City.
This festival acted as a significant cultural event aimed at celebrating, preserving, and promoting the traditional cultural heritage of the Cham community in today's society.

During the festival, the delegation from Lam Dong received four A prizes for their achievements in promoting and presenting Cham culture, reenacting the Investiture Ceremony of the Chief Priest of the Kadhar branch of Cham Brahmanism in Binh Thuan, as well as their artistic performances titled Returning to the Land of Ancient Towers and Po Nai.

The delegation was awarded four B prizes for their performances of the dance Soul of the Land, demonstrations of traditional brocade weaving, pottery making, and ceramic craftsmanship, the community tourism presentation titled Exploring Cham Culture at Po Sah Inu Towers, and the showcase of traditional Cham costumes known as Colors of the Land of Ancient Towers. Additionally, they received one C prize for their song and dance performance called The Cham Celebrate the Festival.
In the sports competitions, which included football, volleyball, tug of war, stick pushing, and water carrying, the Lam Dong delegation secured 10 medals.

The achievements recorded at the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival reflect the dedication of artisans and community performers to preserving and passing on the cultural legacy of the Cham people. They also highlight the effectiveness of Lam Dong Province’s efforts to protect and promote Cham cultural heritage while integrating cultural preservation with tourism development.
These achievements serve as additional encouragement for the province to keep preserving and fostering Cham cultural identity, all while contributing to the evolution of a sophisticated Vietnamese culture that is firmly anchored in national identity for the contemporary era.
