Lam Dong People's Council Approves Series of Key Policy Resolutions

During the afternoon sitting of the 4th Session of the 11th Lam Dong Provincial People's Council (2026–2031 term) on June 30, delegates reviewed and discussed a series of important reports, submissions and draft resolutions covering finance, investment, education, social policy and local governance.

Continuing its agenda, the Provincial People's Council reviewed and provided opinions on a wide range of draft resolutions covering finance, investment, home affairs, justice, culture, sports, education and social policy before debating and voting on their adoption.

Finance and budget

In the finance and budget sector, delegates reviewed draft resolutions concerning:

  • Investment and lending priorities of the Lam Dong Provincial Development Investment Fund;
  • Standards for purchasing air tickets for short-term overseas official missions funded by the state budget;
  • Spending regulations for receiving foreign delegations, organizing international conferences in Vietnam, and hosting domestic guests by provincial agencies and public institutions.

Home affairs

In the area of home affairs, the council considered a draft resolution regulating the number and titles of personnel serving in villages and residential groups, as well as allowances and support policies for non-permanent officials and community-level workers throughout the province.

Justice, ethnic and religious affairs

Regarding justice and ethnic and religious affairs, delegates discussed draft resolutions establishing funding levels for legal dissemination and education, legal accessibility standards and grassroots mediation, together with a proposal on provincial budget support for religious and belief-related activities.

Culture and sports

In culture and sports, the council reviewed draft resolutions regulating expenditure for members of provincial sports teams during centralized training and competitions; funding for organizing sporting events; and spending for emulation and commendation activities financed from 20% of provincial reward funds.

Education and training

In education, delegates reviewed draft resolutions setting tuition fees for public educational institutions and tuition support for children and students attending private and non-public schools beginning with the 2026–2027 academic year.

The council also considered regulations on funding for organizing examinations, academic competitions and contests; policies for students enrolled in specialized high schools; and incentive schemes for experts, teachers and students participating in gifted education programs and achieving high results in academic competitions across the province.

After hearing appraisal reports from the council's committees, delegates discussed each proposal before voting to approve the resolutions in accordance with the session's agenda.
