The Tan Minh Town–Son My road project in the former Ham Tan District, now designed to connect Son My, Ham Tan and Tan Minh communes, has total investment capital of more than VND 682 billion and spans 23.71 kilometers. Construction began in October 2024 and is scheduled for completion in September 2027.

So far, construction volume has reached about 17.5 percent, while site clearance has been completed and handed over along 10.9 kilometers, or 46 percent of the route’s total length.

Regarding compensation and site clearance, compensation plans have so far been approved for 18 of 208 cases, equivalent to 8.7 percent. Several handed-over sections remain fragmented, while the temporary suspension of operations at several construction-material mines and fluctuations in material prices have significantly slowed the project.

In 2026, the project was allocated more than VND 136.2 billion in public investment capital. As of June 30, more than VND 26.3 billion had been disbursed, reaching 19.4 percent of the annual plan.

For the D9 Road project in Ham Tan Commune, the total 2026 public investment allocation is VND 9.5 billion. As of June 30, VND 1.9 billion had been disbursed, reaching 20 percent of the plan.

Regarding site clearance, asset inventory has been completed for 13 of 14 affected households. The Ham Tan Commune People’s Committee has approved the first-phase compensation plan for seven households, with total funding of nearly VND 1.93 billion. Relevant agencies agreed to complete all compensation dossiers, land recovery procedures and the handover of cleared sites before July 31, 2026.

Following the field inspection, Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh acknowledged the proactive efforts of project owners, local authorities and relevant agencies, particularly in compensation, support and resettlement work. However, he said both construction progress and public investment disbursement remained slow.

Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh urged departments, agencies, local authorities and investors to promptly remove emerging difficulties and obstacles rather than waiting for scheduled meetings to address them. He also called for stronger coordination in site clearance, faster construction progress and accelerated public investment disbursement.

Emphasizing the need to keep projects on schedule, Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh asked relevant units to strictly follow the principle of “construction wherever cleared land is available,” work decisively to meet committed milestones, and ensure the projects are soon put into operation, thereby creating momentum for local socio-economic development.
